Recommended Input Image Specifications

Optimal image formats, dimensions, file size limits, and lighting contrast for crisp line animations.

The quality of your input image directly impacts the clarity and precision of your stroke trajectories:

Optimal Image Characteristics

  • Clear Subject Separation: Well-defined subjects with good separation from background clutter allow the contour extractor to prioritize important features.
  • Directional Lighting & Shadows: Moderate to high contrast with defined shadows produces rich cross-hatching and depth outlines.
  • Optimal Resolution: 1024px to 2560px on the longest side yields the cleanest vector stroke extraction.
  • Supported Formats: JPG, JPEG, PNG, and WebP up to 10MB per file.
  • What to Avoid

  • Severe motion blur or out-of-focus subjects where edge boundaries are indistinct.
  • Overexposed highlights where contour detail is completely blown out.
  • Extremely low-resolution images (under 400px) which may cause pixelated stroke graphs.
